Educator-Centered Mindfulness Year 1
Mindfulness for Educators as it relates to themselves, their lives and their classrooms
Educator Centered Mindfulness is a comprehensive professional development program that will support teachers at any level of experience with Mindfulness both personally and professionally. It is offered in a way that allows for teachers to cover topics at their own pace while still receiving full support in implementing mindfulness practices both in their lives, their schools and their classrooms. Although much of the work is self-guided, there are ample opportunities to interact and connect with Chelsea for individualized support in and out of the classroom. The program covers Mindfulness in its entirety, giving teachers the ability to explore mindfulness and its benefits both for themselves as well as within their classroom with the understanding that the two are not mutually exclusive and even if the teacher chooses to focus predominately on one area, the effects will indirectly extend to all areas.
This program is for staff of MSAD 72 only, if you are interested in enrolling in this program please contact Chelsea at [email protected]
Your Instructor
I am an ambitious adventurer, happy homemaker and general lover of the little things. From a very early age, I have worked to find a balance between my high expectation for achievement (and the stress that comes from it) and my need to feel at ease and in joy with everything and everyone around me. As my commitments and ambitions have grown, my passions for cooking, gardening, travel, exercise and being present for the ones that I love (two and four legged alike) have remained steadfast. I believe not only that you can have it all, but that you need to have it all in order to show up every day, at full capacity, ready to take on the world.
